My name is Ram Tahal Mahato and lived in Karjana Gaupalika -3 Bandipur. On 16th June 2019 for the first time Cook training in our area announced by local FM and I felt so lucky to be a part of the training. The biasless selection process of project, Kathmandu Institute of Hospitality Management (KIHM) has given me a golden opportunity to enhance and gain the practical knowledge on cooking (Comiss III).

Before training, I was in India for searching job where I used to do labor work because I have no academic qualitifation, skills and experience to do better jobs. Later, I came back to Nepal in searching suitable jobs. Successfully, I have completed training and plan to open small restaurant nearby Bandipur bazar and I did it, too.

From the beginning, I wanted to become entrepreneur which, this training contributed a lot. The training that I have received has been so much more to me. I am now confident that my future goals and dreams to open my own restaurant and aspiring to have my own hotel, at last, it came to reality. Thanks to KIHM, SAMRIDDHI/Helvetas Nepal and other helping hand who support and show me the path. Now, I have a very bright future ahead.

I started up my business in a rented shutter in Bandipur Bazar nearby traffic booth. In my own restaurant, my younger brother helps me. In my restaurant, normally, fast food and cold drinks are available. It has been two months of commencing hotel and usually local people visits the restaurant. I think people like the taste of food made by me. Normally, the day of Hatbazar flow of customers are high. My initial investment was one lakh fifty thousand. On daily basis, six to seven thousand sales seen according to the record and I am quite happy to see it. It a very high profitable service-based business. Once again, I would like to thank to all for supporting me to be an enterpreneur.
